SGB Acquires SUM Microdose, Expanding Into Functional Wellness

Supergalactic Brands acquired SUM Microdose in 2023, adding a precision-formulated sublingual cannabis line to the portfolio and extending SGB's reach into the functional wellness segment. SUM's products — built around specific cannabinoid ratios for sleep, relief, energy, calm, and focus — represent a different consumer conversation than Sano Gardens or Orchard. Not recreational. Not experiential. Therapeutic.

What SUM Does Differently

SUM's sublingual format bypasses the digestive system entirely. The result is faster onset and more predictable dosing than traditional edibles. The formulations are precise: Sleep uses CBN with THC in a 2:1 ratio. Relief uses 15mg CBD with 0.5mg THC. Energy uses a pure 2.5mg THC dose. Each formulation has a specific physiological rationale — not a marketing claim dressed up as science, but an actual mechanism.

Microdosing is where cannabis becomes a daily tool rather than an occasional experience. SUM was built for that consumer.

The Portfolio Logic

SUM sits inside SGB's FUN CO subsidiary alongside Zingiez and Teeny Tiny Science — the terpene-driven, precision-dosing, functional end of the portfolio. Where Orchard and Herb and Lou's are social and experiential, SUM is quiet, intentional, and wellness-oriented. The acquisition added a segment SGB didn't have and a consumer profile the rest of the portfolio wasn't reaching.
